What is a Certified Water Professional?
Got a water problem? Get the Specialists!
The Water Quality Association (WQA) Professional Certification program helps consumers and employers identify individuals in the point-of-use/point-of-entry water quality improvement industry who have demonstrated a certified level of professional expertise and are dedicated to high professional standards.
WQA certification is a voluntary credentialing process. It certifies that an individual has attained a generally accepted level of knowledge of water quality improvement technologies and applications of industry products. Certification also means that the individual is dedicated to promoting the highest principles of honesty, integrity and credibility as established in the WQA Code of Ethics.
To achieve any WQA-certified title, the candidate must register in the WQA Modular Education Program, complete the learning activities for the Basics, Fundamentals and Core Certificate Modules, pass a comprehensive exam and accept the WQA Code of Ethics for the Water Quality Improvement Industry. Certifications expire unless renewed every three years through continuing education.
